Point-and-click adventure ‘Encodya’ launches on PC, Mac and Linux

Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Chaosmonger Studio have released their Bladerunner-meets-Full Throttle point-and-click adventure game, Encodya on Steam and GOG.

There’s also a special “Save the World” edition available, which comes with the official artbook, soundtrack, several “making-of” videos, and gorgeous high definition wallpapers. In keeping with the game’s theme, for every “Save the World” edition sold, Assemble will donate 10% of the proceeds to the children’s charity Plan International, an organization that works to advance children’s rights and equality for girls worldwide.

Watch the Encodya release trailer below:

Encodya follows in the footsteps of beloved titles like Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle, but with a hefty dose of dystopian cyberpunk stylings. Join the plucky ragamuffin Tina and her best pal, an imposing mass of metal and wiring named SAM-53, as they navigate the gritty streets of Neo-Berlin. Tina and SAM-53 must use their wits to help fix a society where mankind has become hopelessly addicted to the technology that allows them to ignore the plight of their city and waste their days in a virtual world.

Encodya has been painstakingly and lovingly crafted from the ground up, including a completely original soundtrack — right down to the ad jingles found across Neo Berlin — along with 35 unique and distinctive NPCs and a whopping 4,000+ lines of dialogue. A cute and colorful art design with a hint of something more sinister reflects the progress, or lack thereof, of a city under siege from rampant capitalism and an over-reliance on technology. Explore a beautifully realised world, solve puzzles, and help Tina and SAM-53 bring life and love back into the city they call home.

Key Features of Encodya Include:

  • Bring Your Michelin Guide: Neo Berlin is a big city with a lot to see, and players can explore more than 100 unique locations
  • Thank You, Please Visit Us Again: Enjoyed your time exploring the city and want to make a return trip? Encodya features randomly generated puzzle solutions to add more value to multiple playthroughs
  • Get Chatty with a Cast of Crazy Characters: During their journey, Tina and SAM-53 will meet all sorts of interesting people (and robots), and with 4,000 lines of dialogue to experience, they’ll be spending plenty of time getting to know them
  • Keep Your Eyes Peeled: In keeping with the games by which it was inspired, Encodya is packed to the brim with tiny details, easter eggs, and a fully-fleshed out world to explore

Encodya is available now on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux platforms via Steam, GOG and Encodya.com priced at £21.99 for the standard edition, and £31.99 for the “Save the World” edition. Both can be purchased with a limited time 20% discount.

Check out the official Encodya website for more information on the game.
