Britain’s Got Talent: Semi-Final Recap 1

And the semi-final shows have now kicked off! Let’s see what this show has in store:

First up was 57-year-old Martin Healey who danced with his dummy nun to The Sound of Music, quickly cutting to some upbeat fast tempo music that was Disco Inferno, next mixing it up with some more disco fever music. A bit of an odd one to kick off the show with.

The second act up was Band of Voices, who sung their version of Britney Spears – Hit Me Baby One More Time. The audience loved it, cheering throughout. What a different way to sing a song, and an old school one too!

Third up were 32 membered dance troop Youth Creation, aged from eight to 14 years old. Telling a story throughout the dance, doing shout outs to the judges Simon and Amanda. They also brought comedy to the dance too. All dressed in bring colours, which showed off what they are all about.

Next up were twin brothers J-Unity, singing their version of Olly Murs song ‘Troublemaker’, with their own rap as part of the track. It was a good cover of the track, and Simon enjoyed their stage presence and their performance.

Bosom Buddies were up next. They sung an operatic song, showing off their vocals. Simon Cowell buzzed in, as he was not keen on it and cannot take the act seriously. And then David Walliams wanted to be part of the show and poured confetti over Simon.

Hilarious impressionist Philip Green was next up. He did hilarious impressions of Lorraine Kelly, Natalie Cassidy, Phil Mitchell, Stacey Soloman, Alesha Dixon, Louis Spence and others. He had everyone laughing and he was very accurate and has a very likeable personality.

Eleven-year-old singer Ariskandra who sung her little heart out with her version of a powerful soulful song called Whitney Houston’s ‘Without You.’  She got a standing ovation from David Walliams and the audience too.

Aaron Crow the extreme stuntman was the second to last act. This time Dec was involved in his act. He did an extreme stunt involving an apple, Amanda’s ring, a massive bow and arrow, and spun around before shooting the apple bang on target to get Amanda’s ring back safely.

Final act Richard and Adam, the operatic duo were the final act of the night. They got a standing ovation from the audience and three of the judges. Simon liked them too and their song choice.

Tune into ITV at 9.30pm for the Results.
