She let it slip in the Celebrity Big Brother house but now it’s out in the open as Gillian Taylforth is confirmed to join the cast of Hollyoaks.
The former EastEnders actress will arrive in Hollyoaks as Sandy Roscoe, the mother of five hunky boys set to raise temperatures and stir things up a bit.
Gillian comments, “I am really looking forward to joining Hollyoaks which is going from strength-to-strength under Bryan Kirkwood at the moment. My real family are excited to move up to Liverpool – a fantastic City – and I’m eager to meet my new family, five hunky Hollyoaks sons who I’m sure will all be saints!”
The news comes as an old favourite, Gemma Bissix, is confirmed to rejoin the soap as super-bitch Clare Devine. Last we saw her Clare was trying to murder Warren Fox.
The return of Clare will get in the way of Mercedes’ relationship with Dr Browning. Speaking about reprising her villainous role, Gemma said: “I’m really looking forward to re-joining the cast of Hollyoaks. Claire Devine is one of my favourite characters and I can’t wait to get back into the role.”
Clare will be back onscreen towards the end of March.
