‘Brookside’ legend Louis Emerick, who starred on the iconic soap as Mick Johnson, has joined the cast of ‘Hollyoaks‘ as the estranged father of Vicky (Anya Lawrence) and Andre (David Joshua-Anthony).
Donny is set to make a surprise appearance at estranged daughter Vickyās 18thĀ birthday party this April, but heās met with a frosty reception… Charisma personified, Donny is a confident and charming man with an infectious personality and a kind heart. He always tries to do right for his kids and he comes to the village ready to build a relationship with estranged daughter Vicky.
Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) has been Vickyās foster dad for over a year, and was planning to adopt her for her 18thĀ birthday. Donnyās arrival also comes shortly after new student Andre revealed to Vicky last November that heās her secret half-brother.
Talking about joining the Channel 4 soap, Louis saidĀ āDonny is coming back to see his son and it collides with his daughterās birthday, which is very emotional as itās the first time he has met her.
āIt has equally been moving for me personally. I was there when ‘Hollyoaks’ began. We sat with the ‘Brookside’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ crew and watched a screening of the first ever episode in 1995.

Louisā first episode as Donny on Hollyoaks airs 35 years to the day since his first episode as Mick on Brookside. His first appearance as Donny on ‘Hollyoaks’ will air on E4 on Tuesday 9thĀ April, or will be available to stream first on Channel 4 on Monday 8thĀ April.
