Tulisa launches new initiative NCS

Singer and The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has put her support behind new initiative NCS 2013.

NCS aims to encourage 16 and 17-year-olds to sign-up to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build skills for work and life, and boost their job chances. The launch took place on 23rd January in London and Manchester will Tulisa appearing at the London event and British Judo Champion Gemma Gibbons attending the Manchester event.

Speaking of the initiative Tulisa said, ‘Itā€™s great to be part of the 2013 launch of NCS. Saying yes to NCS is great way for 16 and 17 year olds to create their own future and build their confidence. I donā€™t think anyone should ever underestimate what young people can achieve ā€“ and NCS is a brilliant way to get a life-changing journey started.’

NCS talks place over three weeks, plus 30 hours of social action, during the school holidays. It’s an action-packed residential time away from home where participants can bond with their teammates over activities such as hiking and climbing.
