Sam Outlaw kicks off UK leg of European tour with show in Glasgow tonight

Acclaimed American singer-songwriter Sam Outlaw has officially launched the UK stretch of his ongoing European tour, beginning with a performance at Cottiers in Glasgow. The tour, which began last weekend with three festival appearances in the Netherlands at Blue Heart Festival, Heartland Festival, and Down By The River, will continue across the UK with shows in Newcastle, Leeds, London, Hassocks, and Bristol before heading to Sweden for four additional dates. Tickets onsale right here.

Joining Outlaw as the special guest on all remaining shows is Nashville artist Hannah Aldridge.

“I’m so thankful for all the UK shows this time around since I only got to stop in London the last time I played the UK,” Outlaw shared. “It’s been quite a while since I’ve toured with something other than the typical rock band setup, so this gives me a great opportunity to showcase everyone’s favorite songs in a new way, and maybe try some songs that I haven’t played much before.”

Outlaw is currently supporting his latest release ‘The Nonessential,' a twelve-track compilation dubbed an “anti-greatest-hits-album.” Released on March 24, the project has been praised by critics including Americana UK, which called it evidence of Outlaw’s versatility and gift for melody. Legendary broadcaster Bob Harris also highlighted the album as his “re-issue of the week” on BBC Radio 2.

Mastered by GRAMMY-nominated engineer Pete Lyman, ‘The Nonessential' includes nine previously released original singles and B-sides from 2018 onwards, along with three never-before-heard tracks such as ‘I Never Saw Him Cry' and ‘Waiting For Someone.' As Three Chords and The Truth described it, the compilation is “an entity at the heart of a treasured collection.”

Fans can purchase physical copies of ‘The Nonessential' at all tour stops, as well as online.
