In ‘Pirates & Parrots,’ Zac Brown Band seamlessly blends their signature sound with the laid-back, island-inspired vibes synonymous with Buffett’s iconic repertoire. The song captures their shared passion for storytelling through music, creating a vibrant tribute to Buffett’s enduring legacy.

Zac Brown expresses his excitement for the release, stating, “I’m so excited for you to hear this song and to pay tribute to Jimmy Buffett. It hit me hard when we found out he was exiting the stage, he was an incredible human being. This is a celebration of his life and all of the people that will remember him through his songs.”

Earlier this month, Mac McAnally released his highly anticipated new songs ‘Oysters and Pearls’ and ‘All The Way Around.’ Listen here: https://ffm.bio/macmcanally.

‘Oysters and Pearls’ is a breathtakingly beautiful tune co-written by McAnally and Jimmy Buffett. Buffet previously released the song and McAnally honours Buffett by staying true to the infamous island, tropical sound while using his unique vocals to add a sense of soulfulness and emotion to the heartfelt song.

‘Pirates and Parrots’ made its debut last Thursday at the Hollywood Bowl’s Keep The Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, where Zac Brown Band delivered a heartfelt performance. Alongside Mac McAnally, they honored Buffett’s musical influence, showcasing the profound impact his music has had on their own artistic journey. The event featured appearances from an all-star lineup, including Paul McCartney, The Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, and many more.

This tribute follows Zac Brown Band’s acclaimed performance at the 2023 CMA Awards, where they joined forces with Alan Jackson for a lively rendition of ‘Margaritaville.’ The band’s rendition of the timeless anthem was featured on their first-ever live covers album, From The Road, Vol. 1: Covers, released last November.
