Sheyna Gee turns a catalogue of tragedies into anthem on new single ‘Mercy (Pray For Me)’

Independent country artist Sheyna Gee has released her powerful new single ‘Mercy (Pray For Me),' available now on all streaming platforms. The anthemic, sing-along-ready track is the second and final preview of her forthcoming EP ‘Two Weeks,' due for release on March 27, 2026. Built around her signature raspy vocals and unfiltered storytelling, ‘Mercy' draws directly from one of the most difficult chapters of Gee’s life, transforming personal upheaval into a soaring declaration of resilience.

The song’s opening verse was born from a devastating series of events that unfolded in just a matter of weeks. On the same day her boyfriend ended their relationship, Gee lost her grandfather. Within two weeks, she also said goodbye to her dog, faced a car breaking down beyond repair and uncovered dishonesty from her best friend. That cascade of heartbreak became the emotional backbone of ‘Mercy,' a track that wrestles with vulnerability, faith and the struggle to surrender what cannot be controlled.

Driven by soaring melodies and a chorus that lands with both grit and grace, ‘Mercy (Pray For Me)' captures the raw honesty that has become central to Gee’s artistry. It is a song suited to late-night drives, packed rooms and the quiet moments that call for reflection, offering listeners something they can feel just as deeply as they can sing.

The single serves as the final taste of Two Weeks, a project that further cements Gee’s reputation as a fearless storyteller willing to confront life’s hardest moments head-on. Her authenticity and distinctive vocal tone have helped her build a steadily growing international fanbase, particularly across social media.

Gee will celebrate the EP’s release with a listening party during CRS Week in Nashville, before embarking on a busy run of live dates throughout 2025. The summer will see her headline festivals across Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Denmark, alongside a slate of U.S. tour stops, bringing her emotive and captivating live show to audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
