Singer-songwriter Naomi Johnson has officially signed with WME for global representation across all areas, signaling a major step in her newly launched solo career. Johnson will be represented by multiple departments within the agency, including touring, brand partnerships, television, film, and digital.
Known previously as an original member of the chart-topping trio Runaway June, Johnson is now forging her own path, using her music to share deeply personal stories of resilience and growth.
“WME has been a crucial part of helping country artists reach their fans, and I am so excited to get back out on the road and bring my new music to as many people as possible alongside this wonderful team,” said Johnson.
WME’s Braeden Rountree added, “WME is proud to partner with Naomi on her solo project. Her story, and her ability to tell it through music, will connect with a lot of people. We're excited to be along for the ride.”
Johnson recently debuted solo single, ‘Bricks Make Houses,' on March 28. The track was met with critical acclaim, with Country Central calling it “lyrically rock-solid,” and All Country News highlighting her “voice that balances raw emotion and dreamlike strength.”
Her follow-up single, ‘Momma Ain’t Jesus,' is set to drop on May 9th. Here Johnson delves even deeper into personal territory. Inspired by her own near-death experience during childbirth, the song offers a candid portrayal of new motherhood. It speaks to the strength, vulnerability, and fierce love that define what it means to be a mother, especially when navigating it without a guide.
As she steps into this new chapter, Johnson is poised to make a powerful mark on the country music scene as a solo artist with a message.
