Austin-based singer-songwriter Taylor Rae is set to release her new album ‘The Void' on Friday, April 18. A self-written collection and the follow-up to her acclaimed 2021 debut ‘Mad Twenties,' the album showcases Rae’s evolution as an artist, pushing beyond the boundaries of Americana with a sound that blends roots-rock, folk, blues, and alternative influences.
With its raw emotion and genre-blurring approach, ‘The Void' confirms Rae’s standing as a rising voice in Americana while exploring deeply personal themes. The album includes standout tracks such as the gritty and bold ‘Maybe I’m The Villain' and the sultry, groove-laced ‘Cologne.'
Tracklist for The Void:
- The Void

Rae has spent the years since ‘Mad Twenties' touring extensively, playing more than 200 shows annually and sharing the stage with the likes of Sierra Hull, Pokey LaFarge, The Head and the Heart, John Craigie, Band of Heathens, and The Brothers Comatose. Her debut album became a breakout success, spending over 30 weeks on the Americana Radio charts—the longest run for any independently released album at the time.
With ‘The Void,' Rae shifts her gaze inward, delivering her most introspective work to date. The album delves into life’s emotional complexities, touching on heartbreak, isolation, and generational healing, all while anchored in Rae’s unmistakable voice and poetic lyricism. Drawing from American music traditions with a fresh, contemporary perspective, Rae continues to forge her own path in the modern Americana landscape.
