Noami Johnson has released her sassy new tune ‘Come Take a Walk', which is available to stream now.
Written by Johnson, Laura Veltz, Morgan Evans, and Martin Johnson, the song features an infectious, upbeat melody and Johnson's powerful delivery on vocals. The track is a departure sonically from her two previous releases, and adds another layer to the autobiographical narrative she continues to weave.
“'Come Take A Walk' is an invitation to step into my shoes for a day and see all of the places and people that have made me who I am today,” Johnson shares. “You never really know someone until you've seen where they're from.”
The song sees Johnson offering a a fresh take on the idea of a ‘hometown', one that's less about a location and more about the people and experiences that shaped her. Raised in a nomadic lifestyle alongside her ten siblings and parents, Johnson once again expands the boundaries of what home means in her vibrant new track. Rather than anchoring her story to a single place, she celebrates the colorful cast of characters and unconventional upbringing that molded her into who she is today.
As one of the original members of the hit group Runaway June, Johnson and the band toured the country as support for Carrie Underwood's ‘Cry Pretty Tour 360' in 2019. She now ventures out as a solo artist, ready to share her captivating life story through her music.
