Folk singer-songwriter Kate Rusby will release new album ‘When They All Looked Up' on 25th April 2025 via Pure Records, and fans can pre-order it now.
Her first collection of new material in six years, other than her Christmas album, ‘When They All Looked Up' is a mix of original compositions and reimagined traditional songs. Fans can expect an album that is uplifting, joyous, heart-wrenching and profoundly moving, weaving together melodies and emotions that will resonate deeply.

The album's first single is ‘Let Your Light Shine‘, which is out now. A heartfelt message to her teenage daughters – and to anyone in need of encouragement – the song is an uplifting, radiant piece that is sure to bring a smile to all who hear it. The track’s inspiring lyrics and melody are elevated further by Rusby’s stellar band and the addition of the award-winning Barnsley Youth Choir’s Senior Choir.
“This song is my advice to my daughters, but also to anyone who might need to hear it,” says Rusby. “It’s about embracing who you are, having faith in your unique gifts, and letting the world see your light. Be strong, be positive and be kind.”
