Watch: Logan Ledger releases performance video for ‘All the Wine in California’

Singer-songwriter Logan Ledger has unveiled a captivating new performance video for his latest single, ‘All The Wine In California'.

The song is featured on Ledger's upcoming album, ‘Golden State', scheduled for release on 8th September via Rounder Records. Despite its melancholic theme revolving around lost love, ‘All The Wine In California' is imbued with driving rhythms and uplifting harmonies that offer a comforting resonance.

Describing the essence of the song, Ledger explains, “On one level it’s a song about a sadness so deep that even alcohol can’t make you forget. But on another level, the wine could represent all the pleasures of life—all the things we do to distract ourselves that never manage to erase our pain.”

Ledger pays homage to his musical inspirations in the song, particularly referencing Clarence White, the lead guitar player of the Byrds and co-inventor of the b-bender. Ledger's incorporation of a b-bender guitar solo with Clarencian motifs adds a distinctive layer to the track.

This release follows ‘There Goes My Mind', a lively country-rock groove that delves into Ledger's introspection, and the title track ‘Golden State', a soulful vocal performance that captures weariness and hope simultaneously.

‘Golden State', the upcoming album, serves as a tribute to California, embodying the state's wild-eyed idealism, unpredictability, and promise of rebirth. With a refined approach, Ledger blends a diverse array of influences, creating unexpected musical tapestries that include elements of British folk and surf rock.

The album was primarily recorded live at the iconic Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Collaborating with accomplished musicians like Nick Bockrath (Cage The Elephant), Russ Pahl (Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers), Ted Russell Kamp, Jamie Douglass, and Shooter Jennings (piano, Wurlitzer, organ, and celeste), Ledger has crafted a lush and spirited sound reminiscent of California country-rock from the late '60s and early '70s.
