Hit musical Jersey Boys will be touring the UK for the first time from September 2014.
The award-winning show, which will continue in London before moving to its new home at the Piccadilly Theatre from March 2014, will open at the Manchester Palace from 4th September before visiting Edinburgh, Stoke, Hull, Sunderland and Birmingham.
To date Jersey Boys has been seen by over 19 million people worldwide. It’s one of the West End’s longest-running and most popular shows. Jersey Boys tells the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons charting their rise to stardom from the wrong side of the tracks. The show features hits including Begginā, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, December, 1963 (Oh What a Night), Big Girls Donāt Cry, My Eyes Adored You, Letās Hang On (To What Weāve Got), Bye Bye Baby, Canāt Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back to You, Fallen Angel, Rag Doll and Who Loves You.
Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. The UK Tour will be staged by the entire original Broadway creative team, led by director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo, with scenic design by Klara Zieglerova, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Steve Canyon Kennedy and projections design by Michael Clark. The orchestrations are by Steve Orich and the music supervision and vocal arrangements by Ron Melrose.
