Australian-born, Nashville-based country artist Morgan Evans has teamed up with acclaimed singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth for a new duet, ‘Two Broken Hearts,' released via Solrise Records and Virgin Music Group in partnership with Geffen Records. The stripped-back track pairs Evans’ warm, reflective delivery with Booth’s soulful vocals, creating an intimate exchange that leans into vulnerability and emotional honesty.
Written by Evans alongside Fraser Churchill, ‘Two Broken Hearts' unfolds as a quiet admission between two people trying to hold themselves together despite knowing they are not where love begins again. Evans describes the song as one that still carries the same emotional weight as the day it was written, noting that while it was not originally intended as a duet, Booth’s voice brought a depth and dimension he never imagined on his own.
The release follows ‘Beer Back Home' as an early glimpse into Evans’ upcoming sophomore album, Steel Town, due out March 20. Written during a reflective period spent in his hometown of Newcastle, Australia, the album captures a renewed creative spark that ultimately led Evans back to Nashville with a fresh sense of purpose and a global outlook on songwriting.
Evans’ career has already surpassed one billion streams, with country radio number one hits including the Platinum-certified ‘Kiss Somebody' and Gold-certified fan favourite ‘Day Drunk.' After the viral success of ‘Over For You,' a deeply personal song that marked a turning point in his career, Evans celebrated with two sold-out shows at the Sydney Opera House, documented on his Live at the Sydney Opera House album. With ‘Two Broken Hearts,' Evans continues to lean into emotional storytelling, offering another poignant chapter in the lead-up to ‘Steel Town.'
