Waylon Wyatt releases new single ‘Pretty Little Liar’ ahead of 2026 C2C festival performances

Rising country heartbreaker Waylon Wyatt has released his new single ‘Pretty Little Liar' (Music Soup/Darkroom Records), a striking new chapter in his fast-ascending career. Produced by Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers, Jelly Roll), the track showcases Wyatt’s signature mix of grit and heart, pairing a haunting harmonica intro with lush layers of bass, banjo and pedal steel.

“I wrote this song junior year of high school,” Wyatt shares. “There was a girl spreading rumours about me—bad rumours at that.” His storytelling is grounded in truth, his delivery steeped in vulnerability as he sings, “Cause no babe I didn’t start the fire, I’m just trying to put it out, I don’t know you babe you’re just a pretty little liar, best get my name out of your mouth.” The result is a song that captures both the sting of betrayal and the catharsis of reclaiming one’s voice.

The release follows the recent debut of Spotify Homegrown’s mini-documentary, which profiled Wyatt during his final week of high school. The short film offers a candid glimpse into his small-town upbringing, his balancing act between school and songwriting, and culminates with an emotional performance at his senior prom. Fans can watch the full mini-doc now on Wyatt’s official YouTube channel.

Currently on the road for a 35-date headlining tour, Wyatt has spent the year playing his biggest stages yet, including sets at Stagecoach, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and FairWell Festival. This summer, he also performed for a massive crowd in London’s Hyde Park, opening for one of his heroes, Zach Bryan.

Adding to an already milestone-filled year, Wyatt has also been announced as part of the 2026 lineup for C2C: Country to Country Festival, where he’ll perform in London, Glasgow, and Belfast next March. For an artist whose career is built on authenticity and heart, ‘Pretty Little Liar' marks another bold stride forward—proof that Waylon Wyatt is just getting started.
