Country music firebrand Gavin Adcock is turning up the heat once again with the release of his new single ‘Turn Down The Lights,' arriving this Friday, August 8. Co-written with Jack Rauton, the track offers a fresh preview of Adcock’s upcoming 24-track sophomore album, ‘Own Worst Enemy', which is set to drop August 15 via Thrivin’ Here Records LLC, under exclusive license to Warner Music Nashville.
The release marks another major step in what’s already been a landmark year for the Georgia native. His major-label debut album ‘Actin’ Up Again' landed in August 2024 with a splash, racking up over 15 million U.S. streams during its first week and ultimately claiming the title of the largest major-label country debut by a solo male artist that year. Since then, Adcock has amassed over one billion global streams and earned four RIAA certifications for standout tracks including the Platinum hit ‘A Cigarette' and the Gold-certified ‘Run Your Mouth,' ‘Deep End' and ‘Four Leaf Clover.'
With his reputation for mixing outlaw swagger with emotionally raw storytelling, Adcock continues to shake up the country music scene. He was recently nominated for “Discovery Artist of the Year” by MusicRow for their 37th Annual MusicRow Awards and is also in the running for “New Male Artist of the Year” at the upcoming 60th ACM Awards. Billboard also named him “Rookie of the Month” in July.
On the road, Adcock is proving to be just as unstoppable. His current Need To Tour headline run kicked off in May and features a string of sold-out shows across North America, with Canadian dates in October already sold out. He’s also supporting select stops on Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour, including two high-profile performances at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on September 4 and 5.
With ‘Turn Down The Lights' on the horizon and ‘Own Worst Enemy' just days away, Gavin Adcock is showing no signs of slowing down—solidifying his place as one of country music’s most compelling and unfiltered rising stars.
