Morgan Wallen breaks Apple Music Record with new album “I’m the Problem”

Morgan Wallen released his new album “I'm the Problem” on Friday (16th May 2025) and he's broken an Apple Music Record!

The Country superstar has broken the record for biggest country album of 2025 by first-day streams worldwide on Apple Music. It's the latest in a long list of achievements for Wallen as his new album dominates charts across the globe.

In promotion for the album Wallen sat down with Apple Music’s Kelleigh Bannen on “Today’s Country Radio”, before joining ‘New Music Daily Radio' with Zane Lowe. In the interviews he discussed the inspiration behind the song and album title “I'm The Problem,” his relationships with his father and son, Indigo, collaborating with Keith Whitley, Tate McRae, Post Malone and more.

Speaking to Kelleigh, Wallen talked about the title of the album saying: “I mean, I think it's just at this point in my life, to me, and I've said this maybe before, but this feels like… I don't know the future. I don't know, I'm really taking things day by day, but it feels like… Just the way that my life has taken me and where I'm at as a man, it just seems like it might be the last time that I really get to honestly say that as a person. So I think it's me. I've always prided myself in taking accountability for what I do, and this is just a big stamp on that for me.”

Opening up about the artwork for the album, Wallen told Zane Lowe: “I was actually on my way to go to court one day and I was at my lawyer's office and I saw old school court drawings in there, and at the same time, me and my team were talking about what's this artwork going to be? I'm like, “Ah, I'm not really sure.” And I saw those old school court drawings and something just clicked in my head. I was like, “That might be cool.” So I started looking and trying to find other artists, see if anybody had done that before, and I figured somebody had had something like that in the past. I couldn't find anything, so I said, “Maybe I'm onto something.” And I didn't want to use my exact court image because it's not, I wasn't… I don't know. I feel like I [it was too real] So I just wanted to just pay a little bit of homage to that and make people say, “Hey, is that what that is?” And I feel like we toed the line of it pretty well, and I think it looks cool.”
