The 12th annual Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival, in partnership with Live Nation, returned to Fort Lauderdale Beach for a sun-soaked weekend of music, community, and conservation. With headliners Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, and Keith Urban, this year’s sold-out event once again proved why it’s considered one of the most unique festivals in the country — blending high-profile performances with a powerful mission to protect the world’s oceans.
From April 11–13, more than 40 artists graced the festival’s multiple stages, spanning country, reggae, rock, and even hip-hop. Friday’s highlights included performances from John Morgan, Marcus King, and Angie K. Marcus King delivered a heartfelt cover of Tyler Childers’ ‘Shake The Frost,' and even invited his wife, Briley, to join him for a few songs. The crowd erupted when Ludacris celebrated 25 years of hits on the Sunset Stage, bringing the party with songs like ‘Money Maker' and ‘What’s Your Fantasy.' Parker McCollum set the tone on the Main Stage as the sun dipped below the horizon, and Jelly Roll closed out the night with a fiery set that lit up the beach — both literally and figuratively.
Saturday brought nearly 20 more acts to the stages. The Wheeland Brothers kicked off the day with their coastal hit ‘Rock Me Like The Ocean,' followed by sets from Wyatt Flores, Meghan Patrick, and Jordan Davis. Shaboozey brought his breakout hits to the Sunset Stage, delivering one of the day’s most buzzworthy performances. Reggae legends The Original Wailers provided a laid-back vibe, while Ezra Ray Hart stirred up nostalgia with mashups of ’90s and early 2000s classics. Headliner Keith Urban capped the night with a crowd-pleasing performance that included fan favourites like ‘Somebody Like You' and a special duet with rising star Karley Scott Collins on ‘GO HOME W U.'
Sunday’s lineup continued to raise the bar. Megan Moroney had the crowd belting out every word of her viral songs ‘Am I Okay' and ‘No Caller ID.' Yelawolf and Restless Road also delivered electric sets on the Sunset Stage. Over on the Main Stage, Caylee Hammack impressed with a country twist on Chappell Roan’s ‘Good Luck, Babe!' followed by Corey Kent and Cody Jinks, who brought their own flavour of country rock to the festival. As the final act of the weekend, Luke Combs closed the festival with a thunderous set filled with massive hits like ‘Forever After All' and ‘When It Rains It Pours' ending the three-day celebration on a high note.
A major new addition in 2025 was the debut of the Next From Nashville stage, which featured the genre’s emerging talent. Artists such as Abby Anderson, Avery Anna, Bryce Leatherwood, Denitia, Jade Eagleson, Lauren Watkins, and many more had the chance to showcase their music to thousands of new fans.
Tortuga’s mission to support ocean conservation remained front and center throughout the weekend. Since its launch in 2013, the festival has raised millions for more than 100 nonprofits working to protect marine ecosystems across the globe. In 2024 alone, the festival diverted 114.7 tons of waste from landfills through sustainable practices. For 2025, the focus continues on three core pillars: Reduce, Rethink, and Restore — initiatives that aim to minimize environmental impact and promote lasting change.
Festival-goers also had the chance to visit Rock The Ocean’s Conservation Village, an interactive space where they could learn about marine conservation, discover how their attendance helps fund real-world research, and find new ways to get involved.
