The wait for the return of the 118 is almost over, as ‘9-1-1' will resume its eighth season in the UK from 21st March 2025.
In the mid-season finale it looked like the 118 might be saying goodbye to one of their own, with Eddie (Ryan Guzman) planning to move from Los Angeles to El Paso to be closer to his son Christopher (Gavin McHugh). Fans of the show will recall that Eddie's relationship with his son has been somewhat estranged since he had a fling with a woman that looked like his late wife.
The episode also saw Bobby (Peter Krause) and Brad (Callum Blue) clash after Brad joined the 118 to observe what they do. During a rescue, Brad broke protocol and moved a patient without a C-collar, putting them in serious jeopardy. He redeemed himself when he helped talk a man out of committing suicide.
Elsewhere Athena (Angela Bassett) was investigating a vigilante known as ‘The Cart Cop', who was shaming people who refused to returning their shopping carts to the right location.
Earlier in the season Buck (Oliver Stark) entered into his first same sex relationship by dating Tommy (Lou Ferrigno Jr.), a former firefighter and friend of Eddie's. The relationship fizzled out by the end of the season, leaving Buck single once again.
‘9-1-1' continues season 8 on Disney+ from Friday 21st March 2025, with new episodes arriving weekly.
