Capitol Nashville's rising star Timothy Wayne has released new track ‘Guy With a Guitar'.
The song was written by Ben Hayslip, Lindsay Rimes and Matt Rogers and produced by Byron Gallimore and Tim McGraw. Take a listen to the track, which Wayne says mirrors his life, below:
“When I heard this song for the first time, I instantly wanted to cut it,” says Wayne. “Though I started playing guitar late in my teen years it is something that I love and work at daily. When I first got to college all I had was my guitar and even though it was probably annoying, I always played in the stairwell of my dorm. Now whenever I go anywhere people always ask if I brought my guitar. So, now I am the guy with the guitar.”
‘Guy With a Guitar' is the follow-up to ‘God Made a Country Boy‘, which was Wayne's first track released by Universal Music Group Nashville. Wayne is a rising artist from Franklin, Tennessee who grew up surrounded by music in his home.
Influenced by a spectrum of country legends, from the traditional sounds of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Tom T. Hall to the 90s country music of George Strait, Randy Travis, and Tracy Lawrence to the contemporary flair of Dierks Bentley and his greatest inspiration, Tim McGraw, Wayne has honed a unique style that bridges the classic and the modern.
Currently a full-time college student, Wayne is working on his first major label project with producers Tim McGraw and Byron Gallimore.
