Singer-songwriter Fancy Hagood knows that life is more fun with friends, and his latest project, ‘Smothered, Covered & Fried,' is a testament to that belief. Set for release on June 5, with pre-adds and pre-saves available starting May 30, this EP is a savoury compilation of beloved songs and kindred artists.

‘Smothered, Covered & Fried' brings together some of Hagood’s most iconic tracks, enhanced by an incredible lineup of artists who add their unique flair to each song. The EP includes standout collaborations such as ‘Hell On Hells' featuring She Returns From War and Jamie Wyatt, ‘From This Moment On' with TJ Osborne, ‘Better Man' alongside The Kentucky Gentlemen, and ‘Even If It Breaks Your Heart' featuring Brooke Eden.
“This project is one of my favorites I’ve ever worked on,” Hagood shares. “Collaborating with other queer country artists to put our own spin on familiar songs feels incredibly powerful. This EP is a collective statement from artists proudly proclaiming that country music is for everyone!”
In addition to these dynamic collaborations, the EP includes Hagood’s heartfelt rendition of the Stevie Nicks classic, ‘Landslide.' “I’ve loved this song for as long as I can remember,” Hagood says. “I first covered it on Instagram years ago, and it brought love into my life for the very first time. Although that chapter has ended, I wanted to honour the beauty of love and the experience of being loved by putting my own spin on Stevie’s timeless song.
“The lyric ‘I’ve been afraid of changing, cause I built my life around you’ resonates with me deeply. Navigating the changing tides of life as seasons end and new ones begin feels like a gift. It was a gift to feel loved for the first time.”
