10 acts we want on the C2C: Country to Country 2019 line-up

With the early-bird tickets for C2C: Country to Country 2019 already been and gone, we're already starting to think about next year's line-up.

Update 22/10/2018 – the line-up has been announced. Find out who is performing at C2C 2019.

One of the most common complaints we hear about C2C is returning acts, particularly headliners, and the line-up for 2018 caused a fair bit of social media moaning. For us, we thought the line-up was the best yet and it was great to see so many female artists getting the chance to showcase their talents.

We've put together a list of 10 acts we'd love to make the trip over to the UK next March. In no particular order, keep reading to find out who we've picked…

1. Kenny Chesney

C2C really needs to pull off a huge headliner for 2019 and there's the expectation that at least one headliner should never have played at the festival before. That's why Kenny Chesney would be a real coup. He's been rumoured to be in the running for years now but it's never materialised. Chesney is known for his abilities as a live performer and UK fans would love the chance to experience that.

2. Pistol Annies

Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe have performed at C2C before and Angaleena Presley was one of the Nashville Meets London performers in 2017. The trio have been performing together again and Lambert recently confirmed that they would have a new studio album coming this year. Monroe is also due to release a new album this year! It would certainly be a thrill to have the trio over here!

3. Scotty McCreery

The American Idol winner is on fire at the moment following his success with current single Five More Minutes, which gave him his first number one. McCreery released his new album Seasons Change on Friday and it's been picking up rave reviews. He's never performed in the UK before so it's about time he came over for a slot on the Main Stage we think.

4. Jordan Davis

The buzz around Jordan Davis is huge right now ahead of the release of his album Home State later this month. Current single Singles You Up has given him a huge breakthrough in the US and he recently toured with his White Wine & Whiskey show, featuring Jillian Jacqueline. We can see him having the kind of moment that Ashley McBryde had this year and we think UK Country fans will love him.

5. Devin Dawson

One of the most exciting artists in Country music right now, Devin Dawson is a true force to be reckoned with. His album Dark Horse is one of the year's best releases and All On Me, the lead single, has been a huge hit for him. A superb songwriter, a boundary pusher and an exciting talent, Dawson would go down an absolute storm.

6. Dierks Bentley

We know Dierks has played the Main Stage before but y'know, he's Dierks Bentley. With new album The Mountain due this year, it's time that Bentley came back to the UK to wow us with his live show. He's one of the best entertainers in the genre and his live shows never leave you unsatisfied. Plus Woman, Amen is a tune, are we right?!

7. Carly Pearce

2017 was a breakthrough year for Carly Pearce and we expected her to pop up on this year's C2C line-up. That didn't happen thanks to her hectic schedule but we're hopeful she'll come to the UK in 2019. We'd like to see her on the Main Stage but honestly as long as she's in the line-up, we don't really care.

8. Chris Stapleton

Rumoured to have been one of the headliners for 2018, Stapleton didn't make the trip over. He performed in 2016 on the Main Stage but he's definitely headliner material now. Currently enjoying crossover appeal thanks to his collaboration with Justin Timberlake, Stapleton could make an absolute killing in the UK if he puts the time in to tour over here.

9. Cam

Last time Cam performed at C2C she was on the Spotlight Stage but now she definitely deserves Main Stage attention. Not only was her debut album Untamed incredible, she's about to take over the charts with Diane and her upcoming second album. One of the best live vocalists we've heard, Cam is the kind of artist you really need to see live to full appreciate.

10. Keith Urban

To be honest, we've pretty much given up on Urban touring in the UK again. He used to play live here a lot then all of a sudden as Country music took off, he's stopped coming over. He would be a phenomenal headliner thanks to his huge catalogue of hits and his incredible musicianship. C'mon Keith!!
