Country Thunder Florida moves to Clearwater for first-ever beachside experience

Country Thunder is bringing a fresh coastal twist to its Florida edition, announcing that the 2026 festival will now take place at Coachman Park in Clearwater. Set for May 8–10, the move marks the festival’s first-ever beachside edition — and signals a major upgrade in both setting and scale.

Known for its sweeping waterfront views and expansive green space, Coachman Park offers a striking new backdrop for one of North America’s biggest country music brands. With all approvals now secured, organisers are moving full steam ahead to transform the venue into a three-day destination event designed to bring fans together from across the U.S. for a high-energy, sun-soaked weekend.

The lineup reflects that ambition. Headliners Kane Brown, Zach Top and Gavin Adcock will lead a stacked bill that also includes Randy Houser, Shaboozey and Dasha, alongside a host of emerging acts and local talent.

“This is about putting on the festival we came here to deliver,” said Executive Director Kim Blevins, pointing to Clearwater’s infrastructure and community support as key factors in the decision. The move comes just weeks before the originally planned dates, but organisers say the new location allows them to fully realise their vision for the event.

Beyond the music, Country Thunder Florida is leaning into the full festival experience. Attendees can expect multiple stages, including a spotlight on rising Sunshine State artists and a dedicated songwriter showcase, plus vendor markets, food offerings, and immersive fan activations. The coastal setting adds another layer, with sunset views and a laid-back atmosphere set to define the weekend.

Local officials have also embraced the festival’s arrival. Clearwater City Manager Jennifer Poirrier described the opportunity as a chance to combine live country music with one of Florida’s most scenic locations, while regional partners continue to support the event’s economic and cultural impact.

For fans, accessibility remains a priority. Weekend passes average around $100 per day when purchased through select outlets, with general admission tickets priced at $300 for all three days. A limited two-day bundle is also available. Tickets can be purchased now here: https://www.countrythunder.com/florida/tickets/

With its new waterfront home and a major lineup to match, Country Thunder Florida 2026 is shaping up to be more than just a festival — it’s a full-scale country music getaway.
