Due to strike action by the writers, directors and actors guilds in the US, NBC only ordered six episodes of ‘La Brea' Season 3 – which were released at the beginning of this year. Knowing the series was ending allowed creator and showrunner David Appelbaum the opportunity to end the story and provide closure to all the leading characters.
Appelbaum is thinking about a spin-off. If he gets the opportunity he would take some of the core cast members along with a new cast and put them in an adventure in 10,000 BC.
After delving deeper into the mysteries of the primeval world, the Harris family must race against time to find Eve. The stakes are higher than ever as they face the most dangerous prehistoric creatures yet – with one shot to reunite and get back to the world they once knew.
