Introducing Bellah Mae: Keeping it Peachy with glossy Pop Country

There’s a certain kind of artist who can bottle a feeling—and for Bellah Mae, that feeling is optimism with an edge. On her upcoming EP, ‘Keep It Peachy,' arriving May 29, Mae leans fully into a mindset she’s been cultivating both personally and creatively: choosing light, even when life gets complicated.

At its core, ‘Keep It Peachy' is more than a title—it’s a philosophy. The six-track project blends glossy pop production with subtle country textures, creating a sound that feels both polished and personal. Produced by Brett Truitt, JANEVA, and Steven Solomon, the EP showcases Mae not just as a performer, but as a storyteller with a clear point of view, co-writing every track.

That perspective shines through in songs that navigate the full emotional spectrum. From the rush of young love to the sting of heartbreak—and the quiet strength that follows—Mae’s writing is sharp, self-aware, and unafraid to sit in uncomfortable truths. Yet even in its most vulnerable moments, the project never loses its sense of balance. There’s always a thread of resilience running underneath.

The newly released single ‘Salt and Sugar' captures that duality perfectly. Built on a clever metaphor, the track unpacks the disorienting realisation that someone isn’t who they seemed. It’s biting and introspective, but still wrapped in a hook that lingers.

“‘Salt & Sugar’ is about that realization of someone not being who you thought they were and how you feel crazy for not seeing their true colors before,” Mae explains. “I wanted to write it from an angle of being both hard-hitting and in the feels while also being clever and witty in the title and concept.”

Across the EP, that balance between emotional weight and melodic brightness becomes Mae’s signature. Tracks like ‘Fast Lane' and ‘Kiss My Levi’s' bring an infectious energy, while ‘Home Safe' and ‘Love Me Less' slow things down to reveal a more introspective side. Together, they form a cohesive listening experience that feels intentional from start to finish.
