Multi-platinum country star Cody Johnson delivered a standout performance during his first-ever headlining set at Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, on Friday night—bringing both high energy and unexpected collaborations to the stage.

Fans were treated to special appearances from Jay Buchanan and Boyz II Men. Johnson and Buchanan performed their newly released Amazon Music Original track, “Rabbit Gets the Gun,” a song written by Travis Meadows and Levi Lowrey that debuted earlier in the week. The collaboration holds particular significance for Johnson, who has long cited Buchanan’s band, Rival Sons, as his favorite rock group.
Later in the set, Boyz II Men joined Johnson on stage for a special rendition of their classic hit “On Bended Knee,” highlighting the genre-crossing appeal that continues to define Johnson’s live shows.

The performance comes on the heels of another major announcement: Johnson’s upcoming studio album, Banks Of The Trinity, is set for release on June 26, 2026. Produced by Trent Willmon, the project will be released via COJO Music in partnership with Warner Records Nashville, and will be available across all digital platforms and physical retailers.
