Jaxson Free launches new Skyline Sessions with stripped-back live version of ‘Get Go’

Jaxson Free has unveiled a raw new rendition of his latest single, releasing ‘Get Go (Skyline Sessions)' — the first instalment in his new rooftop performance series filmed high above Nashville. Produced by Free himself, the intimate version features nothing but his acoustic guitar and soulful vocals, capturing the atmospheric energy of the city skyline behind him. The video puts the North Carolina native’s musicianship front and centre, offering fans a close-up look at the emotional weight and authenticity that set him apart.

Free says he created the Skyline Sessions after noticing fans asking when they’d get the chance to see him live. “I've been wanting to play this song live for fans ever since we wrote it,” he shares. “We came up with the Skyline Sessions as a way to give them a taste before I finally hit their city.” The original version of ‘Get Go,' produced by Chris LaCorte and written by Free alongside Jacob Hackworth, Ned Cameron, Adrien Nunez, Chase McDaniel and LaCorte, has already earned more than 300,000 on-demand streams. With its galloping rhythm, warm acoustic tones and Free’s signature gravel-meets-silk delivery, the track dives into a situationship that never had a real shot.

After rising from indie success — including earning a spot on President Obama’s Favorite Songs of 2019 playlist — Free moved from Raleigh to Nashville, signed with Goat Island, and quickly became one of the city’s most sought-after writers. His credits span Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Lana Del Rey, Quavo and more. With the Skyline Sessions now underway, Free is giving fans a powerful new way to experience his music while they wait for a full live tour on the horizon.
