Rising country artist Shane Profitt is tipping his hat to the people and place that raised him in his latest single, ‘Long Live Country,' available now via Triple Tigers Records. Co-written by Profitt alongside Matt Rogers and Lindsay Rimes, the song is a proud, autobiographical tribute to small-town life, blue-collar values, and the Southern spirit that runs deep through his hometown of Columbia, Tennessee.
In ‘Long Live Country,' Profitt captures the essence of the community he grew up in, name-checking beer-drinking weekends, SEC football, strong faith and hard work. Until recently, Profitt himself was working for the city mowing ditches — a job he still credits as being instrumental in shaping his perspective and work ethic. The single’s cover art nods to those roots, celebrating both his past and the people who continue to influence his music.
“If you spend an hour in my hometown, you’ll experience every lyric of this song,” said Profitt. “It’s about my life, my town, and the people who are just like me.”
Accompanying the release is a nostalgic lyric video that blends personal photos and hometown footage, offering fans an inside look at the world behind Profitt’s music. The video reinforces his commitment to telling authentic stories and giving voice to working-class life.
‘Long Live Country' follows the earlier release of ‘Penny to My Name,' a heartfelt reminder that true happiness comes from meaningful moments, not material wealth. Together, the two tracks showcase Profitt’s knack for honest songwriting and relatable storytelling.
Profitt will spend much of 2025 on the road, performing at festivals and supporting major acts including Scotty McCreery, Darius Rucker and Jason Aldean.
