Folk trio I’m With Her—featuring multi-GRAMMY winners Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins—will return this spring with a highly anticipated new album, ‘Wild and Clear and Blue,' set for release on May 9 via Rounder Records.
Known for their intricate harmonies and evocative storytelling, I’m With Her has captivated audiences worldwide. The New York Times describes their music as “folky on the surface and skeletal, yet intricate within,” while NPR Music praises their “purity” as a defining brilliance. The Guardian calls their sound “both ethereal and purposeful,” and the Los Angeles Times notes their “intimate sonic environment” that makes listeners feel as if they are right there with the trio.
Following the release of the album’s lead single, ‘Ancient Light,' I’m With Her now unveils another glimpse into ‘Wild and Clear and Blue' with ‘Find My Way to You.' The track leans into the group’s bluegrass roots, driven by energetic vocal harmonies and a relentless momentum. Inspired in part by Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Open All Night,' which O’Donovan and Jarosz performed at the 2023 Newport Folk Festival, the song captures the unshakable determination that runs throughout the album.
“After we covered the Springsteen song, Watkins said how she wished I’m With Her had a moment like that—that same kind of forceful duet singing,” O’Donovan recalls. “Over time, the chorus to ‘Find My Way to You’ became exactly that, which is a good example of how the three of us send these little psychic messages to each other and it somehow turns into a song.”
