Country hitmaker Ira Dean has released his new single ‘Everything', featuring Gretchen Wilson.
The song is the latest preview from Dean's upcoming album ‘I Got Roads', which is due for release in April. ‘Everything' is a heartfelt ballad that's a deeply personal tribute to Dean's wife Jennifer. It's produced by Grammy-winning engineer Noah Gordon and co-written by Dean and Dave Turnbull. Take a listen below:
“I made it a mission not to just write a song with the words ‘brown eyes’ for Jennifer – I wanted to give her her very own song and surprise her with it at our wedding,” Dean shared. “The label loved it so much that we cut it for the new album. I called my long, long, long-time friend Gretchen Wilson and asked her to sing on it, and she did an amazing job. Jennifer, this is your song, baby cakes. I love you.”
Wilson was thrilled to join the project, stating, “I’ve been friends with Ira for longer than we even knew! So honored to have been a part of this project, and to get to make great music with a great guy.”
The accompanying music video features footage from Ira and Jennifer’s wedding at Cinnamon Hill, including the unforgettable moment when Jamey Johnson sang during their first dance and John Carter Cash officiated their ceremony, making this release even more personal.
‘Everything' follows the success of Dean’s, ‘Tele-Man' featuring country music legends Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, John Osborne, and Brent Mason. Currently climbing the radio charts, “Tele-Man” has resonated deeply with fans as a tribute to the iconic Telecaster guitar and its influence on country music.
Dean’s upcoming album, ‘I Got Roads', is a deeply personal exploration of themes such as redemption, growth, and happiness. The project is star-studded, featuring collaborations with Uncle Kracker, Shelly Fairchild, Gary Allan, Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), and David Lee Murphy.
