Corey Kent extends Black Bandana tour following record-breaking Fall shows

Sony Music Nashville artist Corey Kent has announced an extension of his Black Bandana Tour into spring 2025 after a hugely successful first leg. With sold-out shows across the U.S., the headlining tour will now feature new dates across the country and a leg in the UK, further cementing Kent’s reputation as one of country music’s fastest-rising stars.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Kent credited fans for the tour's success:
“Y’all helped make the Black Bandana Tour so successful by selling out a bunch of the shows, so we’ve decided to extend the tour into next spring.”

Tour Highlights and Record-Breaking Performances

Kent’s fall tour saw record-breaking ticket sales, including a standout weekend in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Myrtle Beach. Over 5,000 fans attended the three-day run, with the Charlotte show marking Kent's highest single-night ticket sales to date. Atlanta’s stop sold out a month in advance, showcasing his growing popularity.

The extended tour kicks off on January 18, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, and will visit major cities like St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago, and Oklahoma City. Joining Kent on select dates will be a talented lineup of openers, including Clayton Mullen, Lori McKenna, Lanie Gardner, and Tyler Halverson. Tickets for the newly added shows are on sale now at CoreyKentOfficial.com.

‘Black Bandana' Album and Hit Singles

The tour follows the release of Kent’s sophomore album ‘Black Bandana' which has garnered critical acclaim and fan praise. NPR’s All Songs Considered named it a “Best Album,” and Rolling Stone highlighted Kent’s “charismatic vocals.”

The album’s title track, co-written with Rocky Block, Jordan Dozzi, and Brett Tyler, encapsulates themes of resilience and determination. Billboard called it “music for those whose lives have been seasoned by rocky times.” Reflecting on the track, Kent shared:
“It encapsulates the journey. The reason we’re here is because we didn’t give up, and the whole record is a call to action against all odds.”

With six co-written songs on the 10-track album, Kent continues to blend integrity, family values, and resilience with a modern country-rock sound. Tracks like ‘Now or Never,' featuring Lauren Alaina, and the Gold-certified ‘Something’s Gonna Kill Me' further showcase his unique style.

From Humble Beginnings to Rising Star

Kent’s journey from Oklahoma honky-tonks to sold-out arenas embodies the independent, resilient spirit that his music celebrates. After losing a publishing deal during the pandemic, Kent returned to Texas and worked on a paving crew to make ends meet. Despite setbacks, he never gave up on music, honing his craft in dancehalls and honky-tonks across the Red River region.

His breakthrough came with the Double-Platinum-certified hit ‘Wild As Her,' a track that propelled him to national fame and set the stage for his debut album ‘Blacktop.' Since then, Kent has toured with Jason Aldean, Ashley McBryde, and Parker McCollum, earned accolades from CMT and Opry Next Stage, and became 2023’s most-played new artist on country radio.

Looking Ahead

With his Black Bandana Tour now extending into 2025, Kent shows no signs of slowing down. Balancing his career with his family life in Texas, Kent continues to champion authenticity and resilience, rallying fans to join him in waving the symbolic black bandana.
