Alana Springsteen announces new live EP from NPR’s Tiny Desk Performance

Columbia Records/Sony Music Nashville artist and songwriter Alana Springsteen has announced the release of her highly anticipated live EP ‘Alana Springsteen: Live from NPR’s Tiny Desk.' The four-track project, captured during her summer 2023 appearance on NPR Music’s coveted Tiny Desk Concert series, will drop on December 6.

The EP, recorded live and unedited at NPR Music headquarters, showcases Springsteen’s raw talent and intimate connection with her music.

A Milestone Moment

Reflecting on the experience, Springsteen shared her excitement:
“Being invited to play Tiny Desk by Robin [Hilton] and the team at NPR Music will forever be a highlight of my life. The fact that they connected with my songs enough to want me to play for them means the world,” said Springsteen. “I love the feeling of performing without relying on anything but myself and my band. There’s something so special about delivering songs that way, and we don’t see that enough anymore. That’s why it was so important for me to put this out as a project, as perfectly imperfect as it is.”

Springsteen also expressed gratitude to her bandmates Alec Parrish, Gideon Klein, Daniel Cooper, and Josh Beatty, calling them the “real stars” of the performance.

A Celebration of Music and Storytelling

The EP includes live renditions of fan-favorite tracks as well as new material. Highlights include ‘ghost in my guitar,' a collaboration with Chris Stapleton that was named one of the “25 Nashville Songs That Tell the Story of 2023” by The Tennessean, and the title track, ‘twenty something,' which earned a spot on NPR Music’s “The Best Songs of 2023” list.

Additionally, the EP features an unreleased song, ‘feels good' and a stripped-down version of ‘Hot Honey' her hit collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Tiësto.
