‘The Girls Aloud Show: Live at The O2’ to air on ITV this autumn

Girls Aloud are bringing their recent area tour to ITV and ITVX this autumn it has been announced.

‘The Girls Aloud Show: Live at The O2' was recorded in London during the critically acclaimed tour earlier this year. The show highlights plus some sneak peeks behind-the-scenes will air as a one hour special later this autumn on ITV1. The full extended arena show will also be available to stream on ITVX.

It’s been 22 years since Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine, Nicola and Sarah were voted the winners of ‘Popstars: The Rivals' and formed the all-conquering legendary pop band, Girls Aloud. To celebrate this milestone and honour their bandmate Sarah, Girls Aloud embarked on a huge arena tour of the UK and Ireland in May and June of 2024, to critical acclaim and the delight of fans the world over.

This film from one of the shows from their legendary run of 5 nights at London’s The O2 offers another chance for fans to enjoy the show if they missed it first time round as well as letting audiences relive their favourite moments when the full show lands on ITVX.

“This show is a massive celebration of our journey over the last 22 years. It was a great chance for us to showcase our catalogue of music that we’re so proud of, and to celebrate and remind people of our incredible Sarah,” comments Nicola.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV added:“We are so excited to be bringing The Girls Aloud Show to ITV audiences later this year – the arena tour was hotly anticipated and an enormous success.

“Working with the band on bringing something extra for the fans has been a joy and we look forward to both the highlights and the full tour coming to ITV1 and ITVX very soon.”

The tour was a celebration of Girls Aloud’s rich back catalogue and the ground-breaking success they have achieved as a band.
