Muni Long has released new single ‘Ruined Me' today, and confirmed that her new album ‘Revenge' will be released on Friday 30th August 2024.
‘Ruined Me' is the third song to be debuted from the record following ‘Made For Me' and ‘Make Me Forget'. Take a listen below:
‘Ruined Me' features a heavy bass, piano and strings, with Long's voice soaring with emotion. Raw and personal, the song is a showcase for the powerhouse R&B that Long has become known for since her breakthrough hit ‘Hrs & Hrs'.
About the upcoming album, Long stated, “The record is definitely my story. I’m focusing on my journey, elevating, and growing as an artist. It’s so much deeper than simply writing songs. It’s therapeutic for me to get all my thoughts out. I’ve been working towards this moment for 17 years. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. I’m focused on healing and leaving a brightness wherever I go. From my perspective, I think I did a really great job of expressing how I feel in the music. It’s like one big diary entry”.
Earlier this year, Long dropped a remix of her hit ‘Made For Me' featuring Mariah Carey and she delivered a show stopping performance on the Season Finale of NBC’s ‘The Voice'. ‘Made For Me”'cracked the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 7 weeks at #1 on the R&B Radio Airplay Chart and catapulted to #1 on Apple’s R&B Chart and #2 on the Apple Music All Genres Chart. The music video also has nearly 40 million YouTube views.
