Black Deer Festival launches Black Deer Live: Taking Americana global

The creators behind the celebrated Black Deer Festival are proud to introduce an innovative venture – Black Deer Live. This groundbreaking concept extends the essence of the Festival to audiences worldwide, promising an unparalleled experience. Scheduled to kick off this April, Black Deer Live will host a series of one-night shows across the UK, spotlighting the finest Americana music in intimate grassroots venues.

With events slated for London, Manchester, Liverpool, and York, this initiative marks the initial step towards broadening the Black Deer brand. Showcasing artists who are making waves in the Americana scene, Black Deer Live collaborates with esteemed concert promoters such as TALENTBANQ, Brighthelmstone, Desertscene, and the revered Union Chapel to provide a platform for emerging talents and established stars alike.

Not confining itself to the UK, Black Deer Live will journey back to the roots of Americana later this year, joining forces with one of the USA’s premier independent promoter agencies. Scheduled shows in New York and Florida are just the beginning, with more destinations to be announced.

Simultaneously, Black Deer Radio, supported by Nation Broadcasting and Head On Media, makes its debut. This station promises to deliver the finest Americana music, featuring beloved artists alongside rising talents. Broadcasting round the clock across DAB, Streaming, and more, Black Deer Radio aims to encapsulate the essence and culture of Black Deer Festival, providing fans with live performances, exclusive interviews, and much more.

Chris Russell-Fish, Managing Director of Black Deer, expressed his excitement, stating, “With Black Deer Live, we aim to extend the reach of Black Deer Festival beyond Kent and welcome fans from across the globe into the Black Deer family. We’re thrilled to introduce them to the exceptional talent within this genre.”

Gill Tee, Festival Co-founder, and head of Creative Production for Black Deer Live & Black Deer Radio, added, “Our vision was always to create a brand that transcends a single festival. We’re eager to embark on this journey, supporting grassroots venues and offering both emerging and established artists more opportunities to shine, both on stage and on the airwaves.”
