One of the highlights of the forthcoming release is the unveiling of ‘Photograph – Rough Mix Version (Unfinished Vocal)’, an unreleased demo version of one of Def Leppard’s most iconic tracks. Available on all streaming platforms starting March 1st, this rare gem offers listeners a glimpse into the band’s creative process.
Originally released in 1983, Pyromania catapulted Def Leppard to global stardom with hit singles like ‘Photograph’, ‘Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)’, and ‘Rock of Ages’. Achieving platinum status worldwide, the album solidified Def Leppard’s status as one of the biggest rock bands of all time, with a monumental impact that continues to resonate within the music industry.
Lead singer Joe Elliott describes the deluxe edition as “a labour of love,” highlighting the journey of rediscovering old recordings and uncovering previously unreleased material. Guitarist Phil Collen reflects on the album’s significance, particularly in light of its collaboration with renowned producer Mutt Lange and the late guitarist Steve Clark.
The deluxe edition, executive produced by Joe Elliott and Ronan McHugh, features a wealth of bonus content, including unheard demos, live performances, and a Blu-ray disc with immersive audio mixes. Additionally, the set includes a comprehensive book chronicling the album’s history, penned by esteemed music writer Paul Elliott, accompanied by rare photographs by renowned photographer Ross Halfin.
