Jordyn Shellhart starts 2024 on a positive note with new single ‘A Nice Thing to Do’ featuring Charlie Worsham

Warner Music Nashville artist Jordyn Shellhart is set to begin 2024 on a positive and harmonious note with her latest release ‘A Nice Thing to Do’ featuring the acclaimed Charlie Worsham. The single, written by Shellhart and Cameron Jaymes and produced by Jaymes himself, is a melodic call for kindness in a world that could use a little more warmth.

In a recent statement, Shellhart expressed her admiration for Worsham, saying, “I’ve looked up to Charlie since before he even released any solo music. He’s an absolutely world-class artist. And he’s taking me out on tour this year, which is the NICEST, nice thing to do. So having him on this song really is a dream come true.”

The airy and affirming track encourages listeners to be mindful of their actions, with lyrics that reflect on the consequences of unkindness:

“You should be careful who you treat like that at a party What if your castle ever crumbles under you? You never know, someday they might be somebody And if not, it’s still not a nice thing to do.”

This release follows Shellhart’s breakout year in 2023, marked by her inclusion in the 2024 CMT Listen Up Class. Her cozy Christmas EP, ‘Cross-Legged By The Fireplace,’ and debut album, ‘Primrose,’ received critical acclaim and secured a spot on various year-end best-of lists.

Described as “ethereal country-pop” by Stereogum, ‘Primrose’ earned recognition as one of the “Best Country Albums of 2023.” Billboard praised it as a collection that “offers immense career promise,” while Country Now hailed it as “a work of pure artistry that will take listeners on a unique musical journey.”

Jordyn Shellhart and Charlie Worsham will kick off their tour on Feb. 15 in Birmingham, AL. Shellhart, known for her emotive storytelling and soulful melodies, assures fans that “A Nice Thing to Do” is just the beginning of her musical offerings in 2024.
