The Wandering Hearts unveil new ‘Mother’ Album & UK/Ireland Tour

In a harmonious fusion of folk-style storytelling, pop hooks, and rock energy, The Wandering Hearts are set to release their highly anticipated album, ‘Mother,’ on March 22nd. Produced by Steve Milbourne, this Chrysalis Records debut is a meticulously crafted blend reminiscent of a long-lost seventies album discovered in a vintage London record store.

The trio, Tara Wilcox, A.J. Dean, and Francesca ‘Chess’ Whiffin, recently completed a successful North American tour and are captivating audiences on major US radio stations. Alongside the album’s digital, CD, and LP release, pre-orders are available, offering exclusive signed coloured vinyl and limited test pressings. The lead single, ‘River To Cry,’ is already captivating audiences with its soulful sound.

Maternal Musings: The Journey of ‘Mother’

‘Mother’ delves into the transformative journey of motherhood, with each track narrating a unique facet of growth and change. The album’s creation coincided with significant life events for the band, with Chess noting, “I was pregnant when we started making the record, and Tara was pregnant when we finished it.” The intimate exploration of this season of life adds depth to the eleven-track narrative. The band found inspiration within Chess’s home studio in Darlington, where folk and rock elements converged. The result, according to A.J., is their best music to date. The album is a departure from their previous pop sheen, offering a pure and powerful sound grounded in captivating lyrics, organic instrumentation, and the trio’s trademark harmonies.

Touring and Tracklisting: A Musical Odyssey

Following their North American triumphs, The Wandering Hearts embark on a UK and Ireland tour in March and April, treating fans to their soul-stirring performances. The ‘Mother’ album features a track listing that showcases the trio’s sonic diversity. From the bright acoustic guitar of ‘About America’ to the haunting build of ‘Not Misunderstood,’ each song resonates with authenticity. The album closes with ‘What Fools Believe,’ a breezy anthem encouraging perseverance. Ultimately, ‘Mother’ allows The Wandering Hearts to embrace their true selves, capturing all elements of who they are in a musical landscape that feels undeniably theirs.
