Reneé Rapp teams up with Megan Thee Stallion for ‘Mean Girls’ track ‘Not My Fault’

Reneé Rapp has joined forces with rapper Megan Thee Stallion for new track ‘Not My Fault’.

The song is the first single from the soundtrack for Paramount’s upcoming ‘Mean Girls’ movie, which Rapp stars in. She will reprise her role of Regina George, which was her Broadway debut.

The video was directed by Mia Barnes and produced by Jami Arceo (FreenJoy). The ‘Mean Girls’ soundtrack is set for release via Interscope Records on Friday 12th January with the film released in the UK on 17th January.

Based on the 2018 Broadway musical adaptation of the 2004 film, the ‘Mean Girls’ soundtrack will feature songs from a number of the movie’s stars including Rapp as Regina George, Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, Auli’i Cravalho as Janis ‘Imi’ike, Avantika as Karen Shetty, and more.

‘Not My Fault’ was released last month and followed the release of Rapp’s debut album ‘Snow Angel’ earlier in the year, which earned the largest first-week sales for a female artist’s debut album in 2023. Rapp also embarked on the ‘Snow Hard Feelings Tour’ in the US which included stops in all major cities including Chicago, Detroit, and Atlanta while boasting surprise appearances from Bryson Tiller, Lizzy McAlpine, Kesha, and more. The tour will arrive in the UK next month, including a show at London’s iconic Roundhouse.
