The Voice winner Bryce Leatherwood slays on new video ‘The Finger’

Bryce Leatherwood, the undeniable talent praised by coach Blake Shelton as “the real deal” during his triumphant Season 22 win on The Voice, is making waves as he steps into Nashville with ambitious goals. The Republic Records / Universal Music Group Nashville recording artist introduces the performance music video for his inaugural major label single, ‘The Finger.’

Having filled his recently-formed team with top-tier musicians, Leatherwood shares his excitement for fans to delve into the essence of his live performances through the music video. “I’ve had a blast playing ‘The Finger’ live all summer long, and I’m excited for fans who haven’t had the opportunity to see one of my shows in person to experience what my show is all about through this music video,” expresses Leatherwood.

The music video serves as a visual celebration of Leatherwood’s natural charisma both on-stage and in the studio. Seamlessly blending performance footage with behind-the-scenes moments, the video complements the witty and tongue-in-cheek nature of the breakup anthem. Country Now notes that the video provides “an authentic look at Leatherwood’s deep-rooted love for country music,” showcasing his distinctive “Georgia-bred baritone vocals.” The song itself captures the narrator’s mix of spite and humour as he copes with his ex-lover finding new romance, leaving him with nothing but ‘The Finger.’

In an exciting development, Leatherwood is set to return to The Voice, gracing the stage to perform ‘The Finger’ on Monday, December 18, at 8/7c on NBC.

A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Leatherwood kickstarted his musical journey during his college years, refining his craft at local venues and cultivating his country music repertoire. Forming his band in late 2021, he rapidly gained recognition by playing extensively across the Southeast. Leatherwood, driven by his passion for country music, aimed to deliver exceptional performances to audiences of all ages.

After claiming victory on The Voice in December 2022, Leatherwood transitioned to a full-time music career, signing with Republic Records and Universal Music Group Nashville in October. Currently immersed in creating new music, Leatherwood continues to captivate audiences with his undeniable talent and unwavering commitment to country music.
