Fado singer Sara Correia will perform a one-off show at London’s Cadogan Hall on Saturday 17th February 2023.
The Portuguese singer, who released her third studio album ‘Liberdade’ earlier this year and appeared as a judge on the hugely popular Portuguese version of reality singing competition ‘The Voice’, made her UK live debut at London’s La Linea Festival last year.
Correia was only 13 years old when she won the prestigious Grande Noite do Fado and soon after this she was invited to sing in one of the city’s most legendary Fado houses, Casa de Linhares. There, she had the opportunity to learn alongside legendary Fado singers such as Celeste Rodrigues, Jorge Fernando, and Maria da Nazaré.
Her self-titled debut album in 2018 was released to widespread critical acclaim and earned her two nominations at The Portuguese Music Awards for Best Fado Album and Breakthrough Artist. She has since carved a reputation as one of the leading singers of her generation; a fiery, intense performer whose blend of fado, reggaeton and salsa provides a unique, distinctive sound.
