Sophie B. Hawkins will release a set of dance mixes for her song ‘Love Yourself' on 15th December 2023 it has been announced.
Arriving shortly after her London headline performance at The Forge on 26th November 2023, the mixes see Hawkins partnering with Until Dawn aka Jim Sullivan and Craig Jones. The pair has created a dance anthem, not only for the LBTQ+ community but for everyone.
Until Dawn have created three remixes: an Until Dawn Club Mix (4.37), an Until Dawn Tribal Mix (4:34), and an Until Dawn Radio Edit (3.24). Remixes and additional production by Jim Sullivan and Craig Jones c/o MWR. All mixes will be serviced to clubs this week and they are scheduled for a worldwide multi-track single digital release on 15th December through Lightyear/Virgin/UMG. The remixes will initially be serviced to UK clubs.
Craig Jones, who works with Jim Sullivan under the name Until Dawn, recently commented, “I can see this really working in the UK club market alongside the likes of Chappell Roan, Dua Lipa, Becky Hill, Jax Jones, etc.” The renowned mix duo, Until Dawn, has created a torrent of recent successful dance mixes for multiple high-profile artists.
“‘Love Yourself' has grown in me since the release of ‘Free Myself',” reflects Sophie, adding, “Every time I perform it, which has been a hundred times, I smile at the story and the theme, because they are my real-life memories and my aspirations in the moment. I’m happy to share the song with my audience, I know I’m giving them something they can grow on, and we close the show with an a cappella version because it’s a gift of thank you for coming; ‘safe home and don’t forget to Love Yourself.’”
Hawkins’s first new record in over a decade, ‘Free Myself' finds the beloved songwriter at the top of her game, sharing some of her most soul-stirring songs about love and resilience.
