‘Dirty Dancing in Concert’ UK tour announced for 2024

‘Dirty Dancing in Concert’ will tour the UK in 2024, celebrating the soundtrack that defined a generation.

The ’80s classic will be performed by a live band and singers live to-film on a huge screen. The 13-date tour begins in Brighton on 13th March 2024, before travelling across the UK, taking in a date at Londonā€™s Eventim Apollo on 19th March 2024, before its finale at Edinburghā€™s Usher Hall on 28th March 2024.

Audiences will experience the hit film in a unique and unforgettable way on the tour, which will feature a complete screening of the digitally remastered film with its music performed live and in sync by bands and singers, as well as an encore party following the film performing the greatest hits from it.

‘Dirty Dancing’, directed byĀ EmileĀ Ardolino, written byĀ Eleanor Bergstein, produced by Linda Gottlieb, and starringĀ Patrick SwayzeĀ andĀ Jennifer GreyĀ in their most iconic movie roles, alongside Jerry Orbach and Cynthia Rhodes, was a worldwide box-office sensation when it was released in 1987. Its soundtrack generated two multi-platinum albums and multiple singles, including the Academy Award-winning Best Original Song ‘(Iā€™ve Had) The Time of My Life’.

Grossing more than $214 million in box office sales worldwide,Ā Dirty DancingĀ captured the hearts of audiences everywhere.Ā 

Set in the summer of 1963, Baby Houseman (Jennifer Grey) and her family vacation to the beautiful Catskills resort, Kellermanā€™s Mountain House. Intrigued by the staffā€™s dance instructor, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), and the vastly different lifestyle of others, Baby finds herself learning to dance while having the time of her life and falling in love. It becomes a summer she never forgets.
