Sugababes star Siobhan Donaghy’s solo debut album ‘Revolution In Me’ to get 20th anniversary reissue in December

SiobhĆ”n Donaghy’s debut solo album ‘Revolution In Me’ will receive a 20th anniversary reissue from London Records on 8th December 2023.

The album will be available on vinyl for the first time and double CD featuring 16 bonus tracks including b-sides alternate takes, rarities and unreleased tracks. ‘Revolution In Me’ launched Donaghy’s solo career after she left the Sugababes in 2001 when she was just 19-years-old.

Reflecting on the making of the album, 20 years on Donaghy says,Ā ā€œThis album was made when I was 19 years old, during a time of high emotion in my life. With a fire in my belly and a chip on my shoulder, I set about trying to make sense of my place in the world. Written with my long time collaborator and mentor Cameron McVey who continues to this day to teach me so much.Ā Iā€™m grateful I got to have creative license to make a deeply weird record and that it gets a new lease of life on vinyl for the first time.ā€

‘Revolution In Me’ features the singles ‘Overrated’ and ‘Twist of Fate’, and the record took Donaghy’s sound into a dark pop and indie sound, very different from the music she made as part of the Sugababes. She worked with producer Cameron McVey, who produced Sugababes’ debut album ‘One Touch’ and stayed with London Records, who the Sugababes left ahead of their second album.
