Cast debut ‘Love is the Call’, the title track from their upcoming album

Cast has released ‘Love is the Call’, the title track from their upcoming new album.

‘Love is the Call’ is described as ‘a surging cocktail of psychedelia played with poised power-pop punch, topped by call-and-response backing vocals that add an exuberant rush to (frontman) Johnā€™s distinctive voice. The song adds a subtle twist to the Cast sound that fans have come to love.

John Power says, “ā€˜Love is the Callā€™ is the title track off the new Cast album. Itā€™s a psychedelic pop song, full of bouncing rhythms with soaring melodies and harmonies. Itā€™s a cosmic call to arms, for Love is the Callā€¦ Callingā€¦ Calling.”

‘Love is the Call’ is the first new music from Cast in six years. Their new album will be released in 2024 with more details to be released. The band – consisting of classic ā€˜All Changeā€™-era members John Power (vocals/guitar), Liam ā€˜Skinā€™ Tyson (guitar) and Keith Oā€™Neill (drums) with John also playing bass, just as he did with The Laā€™s – recorded the album with the Grammy Award winning producer Youth (The Verve, The View, Shed Seven) at his Space Mountain studios in Granada, Spain, early this year.

Power is currently embarking upon an acoustic solo tour which sees his playing favourites from both Cast and his solo career, alongside some new material.
