Dan + Shay unveil more of the ‘Bigger Houses’ project on new song ‘Always Gonna Be’

In a gesture of unwavering authenticity, the acclaimed GRAMMY-winning duo Dan + Shay have offered a heartfelt glimpse into their personal journey with their recent short film ‘The Drive.’ This candid exposé takes fans beyond the spotlight and into their private lives, shedding light on the challenges and triumphs they’ve encountered behind closed doors. Keeping true to their commitment to openness, the duo now introduces their latest track, ‘Always Gonna Be’ a testament to resilience and hope.

‘Always Gonna Be,’ co-written by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney alongside Ashley Gorley, Jordan Minton, and Jordan Reynolds, serves as the fourth teaser from their highly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘Bigger Houses.’ The album, a collaborative effort between Smyers and esteemed music producer Scott Hendricks, is slated for a worldwide release on September 15 through Warner Music Nashville.

To commemorate the impending launch of ‘Bigger Houses’ Dan + Shay offer fans the exclusive opportunity to pre-order special edition colored vinyl versions of the album. This limited offer is accessible solely through the duo’s official website.

Reflecting on their artistic journey, the duo shared, “In March of 2022, we met to discuss the future of the band. One of the most important things we talked about that night was our responsibility to our fans who had been with us through every high and low of the past 10 years. Whether we decided to call it quits or dive headfirst into a new chapter, we felt that we owed it to our fans to make peace with the idea of Dan + Shay in our hearts. No matter the outcome, the music we created together would live on forever, and we wanted to be able to celebrate that rather than looking back in vain.”

The unveiling of ‘Bigger Houses’ was initiated with the release of three captivating tracks: ‘Heartbreak On The Map,’ the title track ‘Bigger Houses,’ and the lead single ‘Save Me The Trouble.’ The latter achieved an impressive feat by amassing the most radio adds for the week, solidifying it as the duo’s most successful career add day to date.

Dan + Shay’s profound connection with their audience became evident as they continued, “The moment that it all clicked and we knew we had to keep going was when we reflected on what our music has meant to people. When you’re running a million miles an hour, sometimes it’s hard to see in real time, but right then it had never been more clear. We specifically said things like ‘Dan + Shay is always gonna be a tattoo on somebody’s arm. Dan + Shay is always gonna be a first dance at somebody’s wedding.’ We left that night with a fresh perspective on our career and a genuine closeness in our relationship.”

Channeling this newfound inspiration, they penned ‘Always Gonna Be,’ a song that materialised in an acoustic writing session. The track holds special significance as the first composition for the album and encapsulates the essence of their journey.

The duo eagerly anticipates sharing this meaningful creation with their dedicated fanbase, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they’ve received along the way. As they navigate their artistic path with renewed perspective, Dan + Shay’s commitment to authenticity remains an enduring cornerstone of their remarkable journey.
