7. The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)
Santa isn’t very well and feeling unloved so decides he won’t make his annual delivery of toys to kids around the world. It is left to two elves to globe trot and find people who still believe in Santa to get him to make his journey. This lovely stop-motion movie was made by iconic directors Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass and has become a main staple of AMC’s Christmas Eve output in North America.
