Russell Dickerson has released the personal music video for his current single ‘Home Sweet’.
Arriving eight years from the day he proposed to his wife – the moment is show in the opening of the video – ‘Home Sweet’ features raw self-shot footage from over the years. The films previously held private make their debut in the deeply-personal video.
āHome Sweet is in my top 5 best songs Iāve ever been a part of writing,ā said Dickerson. āThe stories portrayed and the emotions felt are all real life experiences all wrapped up in this all-out anthem!ā
The new video starts with a 3rd February 2013 home video of the country star getting down on one knee to propose to his now-wife, Kailey. Dickerson continues to take viewers on a historical walk through their eight years together, in step with the real-life inspired lyrics that cite a return from their dream honeymoon āto prayinā we could pay rent this month.ā
It also features iPhone videos of present day, on the other side of the struggling artist season, with four back-to-back no. 1 singles and their first baby in their dream home.
‘Home Sweet’ is taken from Dickerson’s current album ‘Southern Symphony’ and it’s the follow-up to number one smash ‘Love You Like I Used To’.
