1. Steps – ‘What the Future Holds‘
The return of Steps is always something to celebrate but when they drop an album as strong as ‘What The Future Holds’, you can take that celebration level to euphoria. A shining light in a crappy year, Steps crafted a collection of songs that play like a love letter to longtime fans while proving they can compete in the modern pop landscape. The title track is a banger but for us it’s all about ‘To The Beat Of My Heart’ and ‘Heartbreak in This City’. As for those ballads, try getting through ‘Under My Skin’ or ‘Hold My Heart’ without a tear forming. Pop doesn’t get any better than this and Steps smashed it with ‘What The Future Holds’.
